As former Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary to the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) at HHS, he oversaw the National Hospital Preparedness Program, the National Disaster Medical System, the Strategic National Stockpile, ASPR Regional Offices, and emergency response activities nationwide.
