Llewellyn, the creator and host of the White House Chronicle, boasts a career that spans over six decades. Born in Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), King began his journalism career at 16 as a foreign correspondent for Time magazine and United Press in Africa.

Over the years, he has worked for major publications, including The New York Herald Tribune, The Washington Post, and The Baltimore News-American.

In 1973, King founded The Energy Daily, a pioneering newsletter that became influential during the energy crisis. His in-depth knowledge and insightful reporting established him as a leading voice in energy journalism. King sold his publishing group in 2006, but his energy and technology reporting legacy continues.

King is best known today as the creator, executive producer, and host of White House Chronicle, a weekly news and public affairs program that airs on PBS, SiriusXM Radio, and Voice of America. The program has been running for over two decades and provides a unique blend of news analysis and humor, covering a wide range of technology and public impact topics.

In addition to his focus on energy and technology, King remains a dedicated advocate for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). He continues to raise awareness and support for this debilitating condition through his YouTube channel, ME/CFS Alert.

This event is hosted by the Security and Sustainability Forum and the Environmental and Energy Management Institute at George Washington University.
