Chip Comins is the CEO of the American Renewable Energy Institute. (AREI) runs an impactful annual conference (AREDAY) on advancing the low carbon agenda. The 2019 topic was “Politics of Change: Creating the New Hydrogen-Carbon Economy“. The conference was from August 15 to 17 in Aspen. Check out the conference agenda.

Stratos Tavoulareas is an Energy Advisor with the International Finance Corp, part of the World Bank Group. Stratos has close to 40 yrs experience in the energy sector working around the world. He has experience in most power generation technologies, but spending most of his time in recent years on renewables and the transformation of the power sector to accommodate new technologies. Stratos is also a Visiting Scholar with George Washington University’s Environmental and Energy Management Institute developing a new professional development course on Renewable Energy Project Financing.

Why Talk about Hydrogen?
Because it will be difficult to meet climate goals with electrification alone without the advantages brought by hydrogen.
